How to request account deletion

Use the form below to request closure of your BuildFair account and deletion of personal information that we are not required to keep.

1. Enter your full name and the email address associated with your BuildFair account.
2. Select Request account deletion.
3. We will contact you at that email address to verify your identity before taking action on the account.

Do not include your password, multi-factor authentication codes, bank details, or identity documents in this request. If you cannot access the email address associated with your account, contact support@buildfair.com.au.

What happens to your data

After we verify your identity, we will close your account and delete or de-identify personal information that is not subject to a retention requirement. We will confirm the outcome to you, including which categories of information were retained and why.

Because BuildFair is a financial platform, some financial records, identity verification records, project records, and audit records must be retained for legal, tax, security, and evidentiary reasons. The financial ledger is append-only by design. See our Privacy Policy for the applicable retention periods and more information about your rights.
